🧮 What is OEE?

OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is a standard metric used in manufacturing to measure the productivity of equipment. It is the product of:

  • Availability – How often the machine is actually running versus scheduled to run

  • Performance – How fast the machine runs compared to its expected speed

  • Quality – How many good units are produced without defects

Formula:

OEE = Availability × Performance × Quality

Tracking OEE helps teams identify inefficiencies, prioritize maintenance, and monitor improvements over time.
